There are many places to stay in Uluwatu and there’s not one central place to stay looking in as all accommodation options and things to do in Uluwatu are scattered along the coast.
That being said, nothing is far in Uluwatu and whatever white sand beach you want to relax on is only a maximum of 20 minutes away by motorbike.

BEST FOR: A bit of everything
Padang Padang is the go-to area in Uluwatu which has one of the areas most popular beaches of the same name. This area is popular because it has many beaches close by, has quite a bit of action around and has the biggest selection of cafes and restaurants close-by. This area is a mix of Uluwatu hostels and hotels.
Suluban
BEST FOR: Action and surfing
Just like Padang Padang, Suluban is also named after the beach of the same name and is close to a lot of the action in Uluwatu. Suluban Beach is a popular spot for surfers and the location means your slightly closer to some Uluwatu attractions such as Uluwatu temple.
Ungasan
BEST FOR: Beach clubs and quiet
I know beach clubs and quiet are not words that necessarily go together but the most beach clubs in Uluwatu are in this area along the southern coast. The beaches are also among the most quiet in Uluwatu. The only downside to this area is if you’re on a budget as its typically a lil’ more luxurious but that doesn’t mean affordable accommodation isn’t around!

Ulus Backpackers
This is the only Uluwatu hostel recommended because more of them are big party hostels that do not have the beauty or space that Uus Backpackers offers. Though it’s not in the centre of by a beach, it’s not a problem in Uluwatu as you’ll need a scooter or car to get around to pretty much everywhere!
Romeo Beachfront Bungalow
This is a more traditional, bungalow-style accommodation option that you see lots of in Bali. Not every bungalow comes with a view of the ocean from the property though! Some of Uluwatu’s top beaches such as Dreamland Beach are within walking distance.
