Best Area to Stay in Zadar

There are really only two places to stay in Zadar, in the Old Town and not in the Old Town.

Old Town

BEST FOR: Being close to attractions

Zadar’s Old Town is the central area of the city and thus has most of the main Zadar attractions. It’s also the most historic area and because it’s the centre more expensive. That’s not to say that you won’t be able to find affordable options.

Surrounding Areas

BEST FOR: Budget prices and beaches

If you opt to stay outside of the Old Town then you will find cheaper accommodation and you will most likely be within walking distance. The maximum walk of how far you will have to go is about 30 minutes. Most beaches are outside of the Old Town too so you’ll be closer and the bus station is within close walking distance.

Best Mid-Range Zadar Accommodation

Hotels in Zadar Old Town are quite pricey. To help save you money I’ve listed a few Zadar apartments that won’t break the budget.

One of the best selling hotels in Zadar, Apartments Marina is located just 5 minutes walking distance outside of the Old Town. This guesthouse is perfect for families as there is a children’s playground just 200 metres away.

There is a shared balcony for all guests to enjoy and each apartment or studio comes with a kitchen or kitchenette.
