Rose quartz is one of the most popular crystals, especially for work on self-love and becoming comfortable with yourself. Hence why it’s quite common to see it used for yoni eggs and pleasure wands.
Known as the stone of the compassionate heart, rhodochrosite is a top choice for self-love practices because it assists in healing. This healing is done by focusing on forgiving and having compassion for your inner child which will then allow you to feel a deep sense of self-worth which is directly related to self-love.
This stone is associated with the root, solar plexus and heart chakras, all chakras that are associated with self-worth.

Staying grounded and feeling safe is essential before you can begin to truly feel unconditional love for yourself.
One of the most popular crystals, mainly for its beautiful purple colour, is amethyst. This pretty crystal is associated with the third eye and crown chakra, both of which are chakras that help you connect with your highest self and aid in spiritual exploration and enlightenment.

You can not expect to go up in vibration and feel self-love if you aren’t releasing the low emotions that are keeping you stuck. Practice with this crystal regularly to keep you clear and vibing high.
Learning to love yourself comes with a lot of healing, which is why having this crystal in your toolkit is a great idea.
It is known as the master healer of all crystals. Not only will it keep you strong but it also keeps your other crystals strong too by clearing their energies as you use them. I recommend always having this stone around!
How to use crystals
There is no set or specific way to use crystals, but these crystal tips will get you started!
- The easiest way to use crystals is just to have them around you. Sit them on your desk, beside your bed when you sleep or under your pillow or when you’re journaling.
- Hold them during meditation or have some sitting by you.
- Incorporate them into rituals such as a new moon or full moon ritual.
